FAQ

Q. What is cubed weight and how do I calculate it?
A. Cubic weight is the physical space that your shipment occupies on a trailer. To calculate the cubic weight of your shipment, multiply the length times the width times the height of your shipment, then multiply this number by 10. The result is the cubic weight of your shipment, which is a number that most companies use when calculating your freight charges.

Q. Is your warehouse bonded?
A. We have a Canada Customs bonded warehouse in the Greater Toronto Area. As a result, we can accept freight which is "in bond" from a location outside of Canada.

Q. Do you handle our customs paperwork as well as shipping?
A. Lange is proud to offer a "one stop" transportation solution. We can handle all of your shipping requirements including customs.

Q. What is valuation coverage?
A. Valuation coverage is like insurance. If your materials are not covered by your own insurance policy for damage while in transit, you can purchase valuation coverage to protect your materials.

Q. When do overtime charges begin?
A. It depends upon the service. For transportation, if Lange is the official carrier for a show, there are no overtime charges for weekend or evening show-site pick-up and deliveries.
